Hi, my name is Matthew O’Brien and I’m a visual storyteller currently based in Vancouver, British Columbia. My journey into visual media began six years ago when I applied to work for Studio Q, a multimedia agency operating on Queen’s University campus in Kingston, Ontario. While at Studio Q, I became familiar with the ins and outs of creating videos and fell in love with the entire production process. Working with a team of incredibly talented creatives, I helped produce content for brands such as Parks Canada, the City of Kingston, TEDx, the Agnes Etherington Art Centre, and more. Since Studio Q, I have edited content for the popular YouTube channels What If and How to Survive, and am currently working with fitness mogul Jeremy Ethier on his YouTube and social media content. In my free time, I enjoy creating travel, concert, lifestyle and documentary content. Looking to the future, I am excited to continue telling stories and bringing visions to life, and will continue to seek out opportunities that take me out of my comfort zone and push me to learn and grow as a visual storyteller.
